Terms of service

These terms apply when you use MarketingBuddy ("we", "us"): the website marketingbuddy.eu, the app at app.marketingbuddy.eu, and the link-in-bio pages and blogs made with it. By creating an account, you agree to them.

1. The service

MarketingBuddy helps you plan, write and measure your marketing: posts for your social media channels, a link-in-bio page, a blog and analytics. You publish the posts yourself, or let your team or ours do it. We keep improving the service, so features can change.

2. Your account

MarketingBuddy is in beta. With an access key you can start right away; without one, you join the waiting list and we let new people in step by step. You need to be at least 16, and use MarketingBuddy for a business, an organisation or your work as a creator. Keep your email account safe: it is how you log in. You are responsible for what happens in your account, also by the team members you invite.

3. Plans and payments

The Free plan costs nothing. Pro and Business are paid per month, in advance, through Stripe. Prices are shown excluding VAT. Every plan has limits, for example on channels and team members, shown on the pricing page. The AI is paid with AI credits: every account gets free credits to start, and you can buy more, paid once. Bought credits expire one year after you get them and are not refunded. You can change or stop your plan at any time in Settings → Billing; a stopped plan stays active until the end of the paid month. We don't refund partial months. If we change our prices, we tell you at least 30 days before.

4. Your content

What you put in MarketingBuddy stays yours: your texts, pictures, products and brand. You give us permission to store and process it, only to deliver the service to you, for example to show your posts in the calendar or to publish your blog. You make sure you have the right to use what you upload, and that what you publish follows the law and the rules of each platform.

5. Content written with AI

Your buddy writes drafts with AI. AI can make mistakes: always read a post before you publish it. You decide what goes out, and you are responsible for what you publish. We tell the AI not to invent facts about your business, but we can't promise that every draft is correct.

6. What you may not do

• Use MarketingBuddy for spam, scams, hate, harassment or anything illegal.
• Publish content that breaks someone else's rights, such as copyright or privacy.
• Try to break, overload or get around the limits or the security of the service.
• Resell the service without our written agreement.

If you do, we may pause or close your account. We will tell you why, unless the law or safety doesn't allow it.

7. Done for you

When our team runs your marketing, we agree on the work and the price with you in writing first. These terms apply to that work too.

8. Availability

We do our best to keep MarketingBuddy online and fast, and to back up your data every day. Sometimes we need maintenance, or something breaks. We fix it as quickly as we can, but we can't promise that the service is never unavailable.

9. Liability

We are responsible for the service we deliver, within the limits of the law. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit or lost followers, or for the rules and decisions of social media platforms. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

10. Stopping

You can delete your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or that has been unused for more than two years, after telling you by email. After closing, we delete your data as described in our privacy policy.

11. Changes and law

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you at least 30 days before. Belgian law applies. If we can't solve a disagreement together, the competent courts in Belgium decide.
